Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (Tamil Nadu) will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building a strong distribution network for Boche Tea across Tamil Nadu. The role requires a proven track record in FMCG sales management, strategic planning, and team leadership to achieve aggressive business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and market share objectives across Tamil Nadu.
  • Build, lead, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, and distributors to deliver strong performance.
  • Identify and appoint distributors, super stockists, and channel partners to strengthen market penetration.
  • Monitor secondary and primary sales, ensuring consistent growth across all key channels (General Trade, Modern Trade, and Institutional Sales).
  • Plan and execute trade promotions, market activations, and visibility campaigns tailored for Tamil Nadu.
  • Analyze sales data, competitor activities, and market trends to provide actionable insights for business decisions.
  • Establish strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners to ensure sustained business growth.
  • Coordinate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and promotional support.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, credit controls, and reporting systems.
  • Drive team capability building through regular training, coaching, and performance reviews.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity handling large territories.
  • Proven expertise in handling Tamil Nadu FMCG markets, with strong understanding of consumer behavior, distribution structure, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, drive business growth, and deliver results under challenging market conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills in Tamil and English (knowledge of additional South Indian languages will be an advantage). Proficiency in Malayalam is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50, ₹80,000.00 per month
