Job Overview:

The Senior Manager / Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a critical role in driving the financial strategy and performance of the organization / BU’s assigned. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and providing actionable insights to senior management. The role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in financial management, a proven track record of leadership, and the ability to influence key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans, including annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports and analyses, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance summaries, variance analysis, and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support strategic decision-making and evaluate business opportunities.

Business Partnership & Advisory:

  • Serve as a key advisor to senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations to guide strategic and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and provide support for achieving operational and financial targets.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Manage and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Oversee the development and training of team members, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and career growth opportunities.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
  • Drive the adoption of new financial systems and technologies to streamline planning, reporting, and analysis processes.

Financial Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.

Strategic Projects & Initiatives:

  • Lead and manage special projects and initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and operational improvements.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the board of directors, executive leadership, and other key stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-13 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial management, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership position.
  • Demonstrated success in leading financial strategy development and execution, with experience in managing complex financial operations.

Skills:

  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., advanced Excel, financial modeling software, ERP systems).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on developing talent and driving team performance.
