Responsibilities :

- Provide technical support to internal users regarding SCOM functionalities and troubleshooting common issues.

- Monitor SCOM alerts and proactively identify potential problems within the IT infrastructure.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve SCOM alerts related to server performance, application health, and resource utilization.

- Configure and manage SCOM agents for various systems to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.

- Create and customize SCOM monitors, alerts, and dashboards to meet specific monitoring requirements.

- Analyze SCOM data and generate reports to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.

- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to resolve complex SCOM issues and implement solutions.

- Document knowledge and procedures related to SCOM troubleshooting and support activities.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SCOM releases, features, and best practices.

- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills (a plus)

Experience :

- 3-5 years of experience in supporting IT infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft System Center products (SCOM and/or SCCM).

- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).

- Solid understanding of SCOM architecture, components (agents, management servers), and functionalities (monitoring, alerting, reporting).

- Experience with configuring and managing SCOM agents for various systems (Windows, servers, applications).

- Experience with creating and customizing SCOM monitors, alerts, and dashboards for proactive monitoring.

- Familiarity with SCOM Management Packs and their deployment for extending monitoring capabilities (a plus).

- Understanding of incident management processes and utilizing SCOM for alert escalation and remediation (a plus).

- Working knowledge of System Center Service Manager (SCCM) for configuration management (a plus).

- Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory and Group Policy (a plus).

- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell) for automating SCOM tasks (a plus).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tickets effectively.

- A passion for learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with System Center advancements.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio)
