Job Description - Head Marketing and Sales (EV division)

Location: Gurgaon

Role Overview: The Head Marketing and Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the marketing and sales strategy for the EV division of the organization. The primary focus will be on driving growth and expanding the market presence of the product line, EV chargers and solutions, within the B2B market. The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in marketing and sales, as well as a background in Btech or BE plus an MBA degree.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive the growth and market expansion of EV chargers and solutions in the B2B market.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

- Define target market segments and develop effective positioning and messaging strategies.

- Create marketing and sales plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and goal setting.

- Devise marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to generate leads and increase brand visibility.

- Build and manage a high-performing marketing and sales team.

- Recruit, train, and develop a team of talented professionals.

- Set clear goals and objectives, provide guidance and support, and ensure performance expectations are met.

- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.

- Monitor team performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management.

- Establish and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the EV industry and B2B market.

- Identify and engage with potential strategic partners, customers, and influencers.

- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to network and build professional relationships.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and success of marketing and sales initiatives.

- Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets for the EV chargers and solutions product line.

- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to generate new business and maximize customer acquisition and retention.

- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closing.

- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and innovation.

- Regularly review and analyze sales performance, report on sales KPIs, and develop action plans for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Btech or BE plus an MBA degree.

- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in marketing and sales roles, preferably in the EV industry or related fields.

- Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.

- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing and sales strategies, including market research, demand generation, and customer lifecycle management.

- Familiarity with the EV market, industry trends, and customer needs.
