Job Description

Primary Role & Responsibility

Minimum Qualification

Job Summary :

• To support and handle Financial Reporting team and ensure timely and accurate delivery as per defined close calendar. Lead delivery team & execute as per SLAs.

Key Accountabilities:

Operations & Process:

Ensure end-to-end operations management for Statutory Financial reporting to NAIC, disclosures, Surveys, State filings etc.Partnering in setting the team's strategic direction and assisting in the overall running of the team's operationsOwnership of processes, reports, procedures or products. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processesInsurance accounting regulatory reporting experience (SSAP knowledge) preferredReview of critical journal entries, Main Pages, Schedules, Exhibits, Notes & GI’s before submission to onshore teamLeadership and development of staffLiaison with multiple departments (Input providers) during the close to ensure timely completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projectsSupport quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as-well-as, independent external auditorsParticipate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requestsUnderstand & anticipate clients' business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the sameIdentify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controlsAct as a point of escalation for any operational issuesCA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance

CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance with 8+ years of experience in Financial Reporting Knowledge of Financial reporting, US STAT/GAAP policies/principles and other US STAT/GAAP requirementsIdentify and implement enhancements and efficienciesCapable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelinesKnowledge of US STAT reporting concepts including accounting standardsExperience with financial reporting applications SOVOS, Wdesk, Sun GLKnowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)Proficiency in EnglishExcellent Communication / interpersonal skillsData gathering ability/ Eye for detailCapability to communicate with large teams.Process Excellence Methodology.Appreciation of the domain needs of the process and its key drivers.Good networking capability and Client facing skills.
