We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine and excellent culinary skills.
Roles and Responsibility
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes for banquets and events.
- Develop menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality of food presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Conduct menu costing, inventory management, and waste reduction initiatives to optimize resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable hotel or restaurant chain.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, including cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage kitchen staff effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and food safety protocols.
- Culinary certification or relevant education is an asset.
