The In-House Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality meals for the household, ensuring variety, nutrition, hygiene, and timely service. The role involves planning menus based on family preferences, dietary needs, and occasions, along with managing kitchen operations, inventory, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Meal Planning & Preparation
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as per household requirements.
2. Kitchen Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen at all times.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
3. Special Dietary Requirements
- Prepare meals tailored for specific dietary conditions
- Ensure allergen-free preparation when required.
4. Event & Guest Cooking
- Prepare food for house gatherings, parties, meetings, and special occasions.
- Create customised menus for functions and festivals.
5. Kitchen Operations & Maintenance
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen appliances.
- Manage waste disposal effectively.
6. Confidentiality & Professionalism
- Maintain discretion regarding household matters.
- Respect family privacy and security protocols.
- Display polite and professional behaviour at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a household, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of South Indian, North Indian and Continental (required).
- Willingness to Live-in and work flexible hours, including weekends or special occasions.
