Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef based in Chennai. The Chef will be responsible for designing and preparing menus, ensuring food quality and presentation, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Day-to-day tasks include training and supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, sourcing ingredients, and collaborating with the management team to optimize cost control. The Chef will also ensure adherence to safety and hygiene protocols and contribute to providing an excellent dining experience for customers.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Culinary Arts, Menu Development, and Food Presentation
- Strong knowledge of Kitchen Management, Inventory Control, and Cost Optimization
- Experience in Staff Training, Supervision, and Team Collaboration
- Understanding of Food Safety, Hygiene Standards, and Health Code Compliance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Culinary certification or degree in Hospitality Management is preferred
- Experience with menu engineering and an understanding of diverse cuisines is a plus
