Job Title - Regional Manager - Kerala

Job Summary :

Sensorisch is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Manager to lead our expansion and sales operations in Kerala. The Regional Manager will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive regional strategy to drive business growth, build a strong local presence, and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Kerala market, particularly in flavors and fragrances. A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and extensive experience in B2B (business-to-business) sales are essential. This role requires a leader with strong business acumen and the ability to forge and maintain key relationships with clients, positioning Sensorisch as the preferred partner in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Strategy and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a tailored business and sales strategy for the Kerala region, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with key clients in the flavor and fragrance-consuming industries (e.g., food & beverage manufacturers, bakery, confectionery, dairy, hospitality and nutraceutical sectors)
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior in Kerala to identify growth opportunities and refine the go-to-market strategy.
  • Manage and grow the customer base, ensuring strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a regional sales and support team to achieve and surpass sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new team members, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Operational and Financial Oversight:

  • Manage the regional P&L (Profit and Loss) by controlling budgets, optimizing expenses, and maximizing revenue.
  • Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, reports, and regional performance reviews to senior management.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations in the region, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients and distributors in the region, resolving issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the R&D, marketing, and technical teams to introduce new products and custom solutions that cater to the specific needs of the market.
  • Represent Sensorisch at regional trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

Required Skills and Qualification :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or a similar leadership role, with a strong track record of sales success in Kerala.
  • In-depth knowledge of the B2B market.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and sales forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Malayalam, as effective communication with local clients and stakeholders is crucial.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
