Role Overview

The Desktop Support Engineer provides hands-on technical support to end-users within an organization. This onsite role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of desktop systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Provide technical support for Windows/Linax, Microsoft Office, and other business applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person and via remote tools.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely updates and replacements.
  • Collaborate with network and server teams for escalated issues.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols.
  • Document support activities, resolutions, and system changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10/ 12/ Bachelor's degree in IT, or related field (preferred).

  • 1–3 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking.

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
