Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager who holds a valid Customs G Card to oversee branch operations, with a particular focus on customs clearance and regulatory compliance. This role combines leadership responsibilities with deep knowledge of customs procedures to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant import/export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Operations and Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring all activities align with company policies and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of operations, logistics, and documentation staff.
- Monitor performance metrics, productivity, and customer satisfaction levels.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources and control branch budgets.
Customs Compliance and Clearance:
- Serve as the official point of contact for customs authorities.
- Oversee and execute customs clearance processes for import/export shipments.
- Ensure all documentation complies with customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws.
- Resolve any customs-related issues or delays in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and customs procedures.
Client and Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, port authorities, and logistics providers.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on customs requirements and documentation.
- Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of client concerns.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high levels of expertise and efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance awareness.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Customs G Card holder (mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in customs clearance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, import/export documentation,and clearance procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with port operations and international shipping practices.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
