Position Overview

We are looking for a driven and articulate Business Development Manager to grow our clinical studies and scientific services portfolio across pharma, biotech, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, CPG, and emerging startups. This is a client-facing, remote/field role responsible for building relationships, understanding client requirements, and developing a strong business pipeline across West and South India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage decision-makers across R&D, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Quality, NPD, and Regulatory functions
  • Build and manage a healthy, qualified sales pipeline across assigned regions
  • Present clinical studies and scientific service capabilities to senior stakeholders
  • Conduct initial discovery and scoping calls to assess client needs and service fit
  • Manage both short sales cycles (cosmetics, nutraceuticals) and long, complex sales cycles (pharma: 6–12 months)
  • Qualify leads and ensure structured handover to internal technical teams with clear documentation
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, execute weekly planning cycles, and report on pipeline and activity metrics
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth lead progression and execution

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–8 years of B2B business development experience in CROs, pharma, nutraceutical, cosmetics services, R&D providers, or scientific/technical sales
  • Proven ability to build and manage pipelines in regulated industries
  • Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident engaging with senior leadership, including C-suite and VP-level stakeholders
  • Highly organized, disciplined in follow-ups, and effective across varied sales cycles
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently in a remote, field-based role
  • Solid understanding of pharma, biotech, and clinical research services landscapes
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Clinical Research, or Life Sciences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹700, ₹1,100,000.00 per year
