About Placera

Placera is a student–employer connection platform that helps companies discover skilled student talent through role-linked assessments and verified profiles. We are currently building our MVP, with the goal of creating a stronger, more reliable hiring ecosystem for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Role Overview

The Business Development Intern will help expand Placera's employer network in Surat and nearby regions by reaching out to local companies, startups, and organizations. This is a results-driven role ideal for students interested in sales, partnerships, or startup growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and reach out to startups, small businesses, and training centers in Surat and surrounding areas.
  2. Pitch Placera's platform to employers and onboard them to post internships or job opportunities.
  3. Collect and verify basic employer information (company name, contact details, role description, industry).
  4. Coordinate with the Placera operations team for data entry and tracking.
  5. Support Placera's on-ground events or networking initiatives, if applicable.

Compensation Structure

  1. ₹200 per verified company onboarded (verification includes role details, contact confirmation, and willingness to post).
  2. ₹500 bonus for every 10 verified companies onboarded.
  3. Certificate of completion and LinkedIn recommendation for top performers.

Requirements

  1. Must be based in Surat or nearby.
  2. Strong communication skills in English and Hindi/Gujarati.
  3. Comfortable reaching out to founders, HR representatives, and business owners.
  4. Self-motivated and target-oriented.
  5. Interest in startups, recruiting, or sales preferred.

Expected Outcomes (by December 2025)

  1. Onboard 50–75 verified companies in the Surat region.
  2. Build an early employer base for Placera's MVP launch.
  3. Establish long-term partnerships with local businesses and training organizations.
