Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Zonal Head to lead our commercial vehicle business operations in the Odisha or Kolkata zone. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale sales operations, channel development, and team leadership within the tractor or commercial vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Drive revenue growth and market share for commercial vehicles (primarily tractors) in the assigned zone.
  • Develop and execute zonal sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Channel Management:

  • Identify, appoint, and manage channel partners, dealers, and sub-dealers.
  • Strengthen the dealer network and improve partner performance through structured engagement.
  • Ensure dealer satisfaction and resolve escalations effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and support staff.
  • Monitor team performance through KPIs and ensure capability development.
  • Foster a high-performance and customer-centric culture.

Market Intelligence:

  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Provide insights to the marketing and product teams for regional customization.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee demand forecasting, inventory planning, and efficient logistics for the region.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial terms, and statutory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial vehicle sales, preferably in tractors, agri-equipment, or automotive B2B segments.
  • Experience in managing large territories with cross-functional teams and dealer networks.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and local regional language (Odia or Bengali, depending on location).
