A Car Evaluator at a Renault automobile service center plays a crucial role in assessing the condition and value of used vehicles, both for trade-ins and resale. The evaluator ensures that vehicles meet Renault's standards for quality and safety before any purchase or sale.

*Job Title: Car Evaluator*

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • *Vehicle Inspection:*
  • Conduct detailed inspections of used Renault vehicles (and other makes) to assess their mechanical, structural, and cosmetic condition.
  • Examine critical systems, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
  • Check the vehicle's body for any signs of damage, previous repairs, rust, or accidents.
  • *Test Driving:*
  • Perform test drives to evaluate the performance of the vehicle.
  • Assess engine performance, ride quality, transmission function, and overall drivability.
  • *Condition Reporting:*
  • Prepare detailed reports on the vehicle's condition, highlighting any issues that require attention or repairs.
  • Document odometer readings, VIN numbers, and relevant data during evaluations.
  • Provide clear and accurate feedback to both the service and sales departments.
  • *Valuation:*
  • Estimate the market value of vehicles based on their condition, age, mileage, and other factors such as the demand for the specific model.
  • Use available tools and software to assess the resale value of used Renault cars, considering depreciation and market trends.
  • Provide fair trade-in valuations for customers looking to exchange their old vehicles for new Renault models.
  • *Customer Interaction:*
  • Communicate findings from vehicle evaluations to customers in a clear and transparent manner.
  • Explain the rationale behind the vehicle's valuation, especially in trade-in scenarios.
  • Handle customer queries regarding the evaluation process, and provide professional advice on the value of their vehicles.
  • *Collaboration:*
  • Work closely with the service department to identify repair or reconditioning needs for used vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate information on trade-ins and vehicle valuations is communicated to potential buyers.
  • Assist in determining which used vehicles are suitable for resale on the dealership lot versus auction or wholesale.
  • *Compliance and Documentation:*
  • Ensure that all evaluations are done in accordance with Renault's guidelines and industry standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all vehicle evaluations for future reference and legal compliance.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data entries related to vehicle conditions and values in the dealership's database.
  • *Market Research:*
  • Keep up-to-date with current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand for different Renault models (Kwid, Triber, Kiger, etc.).
  • Monitor competitors' pricing and offers to help the dealership remain competitive.

*Skills and Qualifications:*

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle diagnostics, particularly for Renault models.
  • Ability to identify mechanical and cosmetic issues in vehicles.
  • Proficiency in vehicle valuation tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple evaluations daily.

*Education and Experience:*

  • High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Automotive technician certification or relevant technical training (preferred).
  • Previous experience in vehicle inspection, evaluation, or a related role in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with Renault cars and their specific mechanical systems is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12, ₹18,000.00 per month
