Job Location : Chennai HO

Reporting to :COO / Executive Director

Industry :Infrastructure development company (involved in activities of constructions & maintenance of CWSS, UGSS, STP and various other related pipeline projects)

The Challenge :We are shaping the future of water infrastructure, UGSS and WSS projects that touch entire cities. We need a Business Development Manager who knows how government works, how tenders move, and how to win them.

This isn't a desk job. This is for someone who thrives in government offices, pre-bid meetings, and negotiations with "Hydro Titans" such as TWAD Board, CMWSSB and MCs in the State of Tamilnadu and similar Aqua Vanguards of State & Central Governmental Authorities.

Your Mission

  • Understand Government Procedures -Gain a clear understanding of the processes, hierarchy, and requirements involved in public infrastructure tenders.
  • Drive Tender Success - Identify projects early, lead PQs, RFQs, and RFP submissions, and secure winning bids.
  • Speak the Right Language -Tamil and English fluency is a must. Conversational Hindi is mandatory to handle interstate projects and stakeholders.
  • Build Powerful Relationships - Develop and nurture ties with decision-makers in TWAD, CMWSSB, Corporations, Municipalities, and government consultants.
  • Think Strategically - Spot opportunities and promote company's strength to position us as the preferred contractor
  • Stay Ahead of Competition - Monitor market trends, competitor bids, and pricing benchmarks.

What you Bring?

  • Experience: Max. 15 Years in BD/Tendering for water infra projects (UGSS, CWSS, WTP, STP, OHT).
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of government procedures, tendering norms, and contract conditions.
  • Communication: Tamil + English + Hindi (must). Ability to build trust with bureaucrats and technical heads.
  • Personality: Confident, persuasive, process-smart, and results-focused.
  • Academics shall be BE (Civil) + MBA from reputed Institutions (Preferred); but Proven Leaders can be considered always an exception to academics expectations
