Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Bid Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process for IT infrastructure projects, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning proposals. They will lead cross-functional teams to ensure bids are aligned with client needs, competitive, and meet all requirements. The role requires strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills to drive successful bid outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid Planning and Strategy:

  • Identify and qualify IT infrastructure project opportunities.

  • Develop and implement bid strategies that align with company goals and client requirements.
  • Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other bid documents to understand client needs and requirements.
  • Evaluate project feasibility and potential risks.

  • Bid Team Management and Coordination:

  • Assemble and lead a bid team, including technical experts, writers, and financial analysts.

  • Manage the bid team's activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to gather necessary information and ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the bid team and with external stakeholders.

  • Bid Proposal Development:

  • Review and edit proposal content to ensure it is accurate, comprehensive, and compelling.

  • Ensure bids are compliant with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Prepare and manage bid budgets and schedules.

  • Client Interaction and Negotiation:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and requirements.

  • Participate in bid presentations and negotiations.
  • Manage client questions and concerns throughout the bid process.

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with bids.

  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

  • Performance Measurement and Improvement:

  • Track bid performance metrics (win rate, bid volume, etc.).

  • Identify areas for improvement in the bid process and implement changes to optimize performance.
  • Provide feedback on bid process improvements to the leadership team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:

15year Total experience and min 5+ years in bid management or similar roles, preferably in the IT infrastructure Products and Services

  • Education:

Bachelor's Engineering degree MBA / MCA in IT, Electronics, Computer Science.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., Server, Storage, SAN, Networking, Security Appliances, Cloud, Virtualization, Backup, Managed Services, AMC Services etc)

  • Experience with bid management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills : - Experience in handling multiple OEM Products and Solutions and OEM connects.
