Core responsibilities

  • Kitchen management: Oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Menu development: Create and update menus, develop new recipes, and ensure dishes meet quality and presentation standards before being served.
  • Staff leadership: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs and line cooks. This includes managing schedules, performance, and ensuring a harmonious team environment.
  • Inventory and cost control: Manage inventory levels, place orders for food and equipment, and monitor food costs to maintain profitability.
  • Quality assurance: Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, and that all staff follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

  • Leadership and management: Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary expertise: A strong and refined palate with extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and a creative approach to menu design.

  • Problem-solving: Ability to quickly resolve conflicts and issues that arise in the kitchen.
