Verona

Verona was founded by two serial entrepreneurs Mr. Poshak Agrawal and Mr. Rahul Subramaniam, and backed by some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex-Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments) & Mr. Rishi Jaitly (ex-Twitter CEO for Asia, Middle East, and Africa).
Security and Science make the basis of Verona where before matchmaking there will be Fintech-grade authentication to ensure fraud detection. Through a deep appreciation for the science of compatibility, with Verona, we will be using AI for matchmaking based on an individual's core & shared values.

Role Brief
Verona is India's leading startup in the matchmaking space, powered by our innovative Media Labs team. This role will take Verona's growth story to the next level — leading marketing strategy, user acquisition, partnerships, and in-app growth, while collaborating closely with Media Labs to shape and strengthen the brand. We're seeking a dynamic and driven professional eager to disrupt the consumer tech landscape — a proven leader with a strategic mindset who also thrives in the fast-paced, hands-on environment of a startup.

Education and Experience-
- Bachelor's and/ or Master's degree from Tier 1 colleges in India and abroad.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing within consumer tech or matchmaking tech spaces.
- Exposure to International Markets.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, user acquisition, and brand awareness through innovative marketing strategies and sales initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of driving growth and marketing initiatives and achieving measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. User Acquisition:
- Lead full-funnel marketing — performance campaigns, CRM, and community engagement — to scale user growth.
- Use data-driven insights to improve acquisition efficiency and retention.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to optimize in-app engagement and user experience.
2. Revenue Growth:
- Build strategic partnerships and collaborations that extend Verona's reach, enhance monetization opportunities, and drive mutual value.
- Analyze and optimize sales performance through metrics, customer feedback, and market data to refine pricing, promotions, and growth initiatives.
3. Strategy and Growth:
- Define and execute Verona's marketing and growth strategy to build a leading matchmaking brand in the world.
- Collaborate with founders and leadership to translate vision into measurable user growth outcomes.
- Drive market positioning, audience segmentation, and go-to-market plans.
4. Marketing Leadership:
- Craft and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging digital platforms, social media, influencer collaborations, content marketing, and experiential events.
- Manage Verona's ad campaigns
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to define and enhance Verona's brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction to solidify market visibility and brand credibility.
- Lead creative storytelling, PR, and communications to reinforce Verona's mission of meaningful relationships.
- Manage external agencies, media partnerships, and brand collaborations
5. Product Development and Innovation:
- Partner with product, data, and engineering teams to align marketing with product innovation
- Introduce new initiatives (referral programs, loyalty systems, social virality loops) to enhance user growth.
- Advocate for a user-centric product development process by integrating market research, customer feedback, and competitive insights into the product roadmap.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance growth team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
7. Market Research and Competitive Strategy:
- Lead market research and competitive analysis efforts to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the matchmaking space.
- Anticipate market shifts and adapt growth strategies to stay aligned with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
