Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager – Business Development (Prepaid Metering Solutions) to lead the growth of our prepaid metering product portfolio across residential, commercial, and industrial segments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical product sales (e.g., cables, switchgear, panels), with a proven track record of working with Builders and EPC Contractors. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and driving end-to-end sales efforts to position our prepaid metering solutions as the preferred choice in the market
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for prepaid metering solutions across residential and commercial real estate projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with builders, EPC contractors, real estate developers, housing societies, and utilities.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to customize and propose suitable prepaid metering solutions.
- Lead proposal development, technical presentations, and contract negotiations with key decision-makers.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and refine go-to-market strategies.
- Work with the marketing team to execute targeted campaigns and promotional activities.
- Promote integration of prepaid metering during the planning phase of new infrastructure and retrofitting projects.
- Represent the company at industry events, real estate expos, and energy forums.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets within agreed timelines.
- Track project pipelines, submit regular sales performance and market intelligence report
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Energy-related discipline. MBA in Marketing or Business Development is a plus. Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales/business development in the electrical or metering industry. Prior experience in selling electrical products (e.g., cables, switchgear, panels) is mandatory. Proven success in working with builders, EPC contractors, and facility management companies. Experience in prepaid/smart metering or energy management solutions is preferred.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of energy metering systems, smart grid technologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to identify client needs and deliver customized technical solutions. Strong market research and strategic planning abilities. Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple client accounts.
