Key responsibilities include building and nurturing client and distributor relationships, collaborating with marketing and product teams, creating proposals, tracking performance against sales targets, and reporting to management.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify New Opportunities: Research and analyze the market to find new business opportunities and customer segments for the beverage products.
- Develop Strategy: Create and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer needs to position products effectively.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate & Close Deals: Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements to secure new business and expand market presence.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align on strategies and initiatives.
Key Activities
- Client & Partner Engagement: Presenting products and services, arranging product demonstrations, and developing quotes and proposals for potential clients.
- Performance Tracking: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking sales performance, and generating reports for senior management.
- Market Penetration: Developing and executing plans to penetrate new markets or sales channels, such as hypermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and impulse stores.
- Promotional Planning: Working with partners on promotional planning, trade marketing, and ensuring investment in market execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and execute long-term business growth strategies.
- Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the beverage industry, including market trends and competitor landscapes.
- Negotiation Skills: The ability to negotiate and close deals effectively with clients and partners.
- Communication & Presentation: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, present proposals, and provide detailed reports.
- Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with internal teams (marketing, product, operations).
- Education: A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often preferred. Industry-specific qualifications, such as certifications in wine, spirits, or beer, are a plus.
