Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced
State Head
to lead sales and distribution for our Architectural Hardware, Digital Access Systems, and Hardware Fittings business across assigned states. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong dealer and distributor networks, and strengthening our presence in the market.
You will combine strategic planning with hands-on leadership to guide sales teams, achieve business targets, and enhance brand visibility. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in managing channel partners, expanding market share, and ensuring profitable operations in a competitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Lead and motivate Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and Executives to meet targets.
- Expand and strengthen distributor and dealer networks; replace underperformers where needed.
- Monitor collections and ensure compliance with company credit policies.
- Conduct sales reviews, set monthly/quarterly targets, and drive corrective actions when required.
- Improve secondary sales through retail coverage, branding, and promotional campaigns.
- Support new product launches and ensure correct product mix for healthy margins.
- Maintain dealer/distributor databases and ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Work with cross-functional teams on marketing, service, finance, and product development needs.
- Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and business development ideas.
- Manage budgets for branding and marketing within approved limits.
- Ensure the sales team follows company SOPs and reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration or Commerce.
- 10 to 12+ years of experience in sales, with strong exposure to channel/distribution management.
- Proven ability to manage teams, deliver targets, and grow new markets.
- Strong knowledge of pricing, margins, and cost control.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales tools (CRM/DMS/SFA).
