About The Role
As a Business Development Manager specializing in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Plastic Waste Management,you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage plastic waste in compliance with EPR regulations. This role involves engaging with stakeholders across the plastic value chain, including producers, recyclers, government agencies, and environmental organizations. The primary objective is to create sustainable solutions for plastic waste management while driving business growth and fostering environmental stewardship.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis:
  • Analyze regulatory frameworks and policy developments related to plastic waste management.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and identify potential partners and competitors.
  • Strategy Development:
  • Develop comprehensive business strategies for EPR plastic waste management, considering regulatory requirements,

market dynamics, and environmental goals.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including producers, recyclers, government agencies, and environmental organizations.
  • Educate stakeholders on EPR regulations, sustainability practices, and the benefits of effective plastic waste management.
  • Negotiate partnerships, contracts, and agreements to support waste collection, recycling and disposal initiatives.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams within the EPR plastic waste management sector.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new clients and projects.
  • Drive sales and revenue growth through effective lead generation, prospecting, and conversion strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation and Closing:
  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with clients and partners.
  • Coordinate contract reviews and approvals internally.
  • Close deals and secure commitments from clients to initiate projects or partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in business development, sales, or project management, preferably in the environmental or waste management sector.
  • Strong understanding of EPR principles, plastic waste management practices, and environmental sustainability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Commitment to environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility.
