Position Title: Business Development Manager

Dista is seeking a dynamic Business Development / Sales Manager to lead BD efforts for on-boarding brands / clients as partners for one of our key products. The ideal candidate should have experience in forging and building brand relationships. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of what brands need, a keen sense of the D2C brand ecosystem in India, and the ability to foster engagement with leadership teams and brands across the retail / D2C industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Business owner to prospect, evaluate and close new business opportunities for partnerships in direct engagement with brand partners.
  • Set up and scale business development mechanisms on lead generation, deal pipeline, business case approvals, partner outreach and engagement, post deal governance.
  • Influences, actively networks across multi-level cross functional organizations internally and externally to deliver results.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience OR Tier 2 MBA with 5-8 years of experience
  • Experience of generating new leads with a proven track record of exceeding conversion goals, strong focus on pipeline tracking and deal execution through the entire sales cycle experience
  • Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
  • Ability to build both executive and working-level relationships with senior management
  • Ability to quickly grasp the pulse of the brand and tailor the sales pitch to drive conversion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flair for data analytics and adept at number crunching

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of post-MBA experience in business development, alliances and partnerships, account mining from top digital commerce / ecommerce / D2C/ Retail / FMCG organizations with B2B sales responsibilities
