
Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
Were looking for a self-starting professional with managerial experience and a proven track record in sales. The ideal candidate will look forward to coming to work each day and helping our customers find the logistics solutions that work best for their growth. Needless to say, you need to be an energetic and well-spoken leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven hunter for business development
- Navigating revenue growth, client acquisition & account management
- Identifying, qualifying & securing business opportunities through various channels like D2C/B2C/B2B
- Identifying industry opportunities for Shipyaari to be present and work closely with the Marketing team to execute such events
- Setting up new clusters/zones/cities with new clients
- Being proactive and quick learner
- Multi-tasking skills to deal and close open leads
- Writing compelling business proposals
- Negotiating and closing sales deals
- Retaining and growing existing businesses
- Owning the collection process
- Managing business profitability
- Achieving weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals and keeping the team lead apprised of the progress
- Coordinating and guiding business generation activities with the other functions like Marketing, IT etc
**Any other responsibility as per discretion of management.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration required (MBA/Diploma preferred)
- Should have first-hand experience and knowledge of the logistics industry
- Should have an in-depth experience of handling D2C/B2C sales/B2B Sales
- Should be an aggressive consultative salesperson
- Should be a fast learner and a go getter
- Should be flexible for business
- Should be a TEAM Player
- Should have an outstanding communication skills (written as well as verbal)
- Should have superlative interpersonal skills
- Should have strong leadership and people management skills
- Should have strong negotiation skills
- Should have strong networking skills
- Should be comfortable with selling a tech product
- Should be comfortable with numbers, data and analytics
- Should be able to perform under pressure
- Should be good at solving problems
- Should be result oriented
- Should be willing to travel
- Should be excited to represent Shipyaari at various industry events
