To accelerate our growth in the Gurgaon/NCR region, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic Business Development & Merchandising Manager to lead our sales efforts and champion our brand values.
Job Summary
The Sales and Merchandising Manager (Gurgaon/NCR) will develop and execute a regional strategy that drives B2B sales growth while ensuring our product curation and brand storytelling remain aligned with our sustainability-first ethos. This role blends business development, merchandising leadership, and client relationship management in one of India's most critical corporate markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development (B2B Focus)
Target Achievement: Drive and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for the Gurgaon/NCR market, focusing on large corporates, MNCs, and event management companies.
Order Delivery Management: Source and deliver orders efficiently, ensuring timely, high-quality fulfilment.
Client Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and onboard new B2B clients by presenting tailored sustainable gifting solutions (onboarding kits, festive gifting, event merchandise, etc.).
Relationship Management: Build deep, long-term relationships with HR leaders, marketing teams, procurement managers, and CXOs to secure repeat business.
Proposal Development: Prepare impactful proposals and presentations highlighting sustainability metrics, artisan impact, and product value—collaborating closely with the Bengaluru team.
- Merchandising & Product Curation
Market-specific Curation: Track market trends in Gurgaon/NCR to recommend relevant products, themes, and innovations. Maintain close relationships with local suppliers.
Portfolio Planning: Partner with the sourcing/product teams to optimize product assortment aligned with regional demand and inventory objectives.
Visual Merchandising: Develop high-quality presentation standards for pitches, catalogues, exhibitions, and client meetings to showcase craftsmanship and product stories.
Pricing & Profitability: Manage pricing strategies, negotiate client terms, and oversee merchandising budgets to maximize revenue and margins.
- Strategic & Operational Leadership
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with Marketing, Logistics, and Product Development to ensure smooth client order execution and campaign alignment.
Sales Reporting: Track KPIs, analyze sales data, and prepare detailed performance reports to guide strategy and forecasting.
Brand Advocacy: Serve as a passionate storyteller and ambassador for our sustainability mission and artisan empowerment.
Required Qualifications
Experience
5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Merchandising, preferably in corporate gifting, luxury goods, or sustainable products within the Delhi/NCR region.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
Skills & Competencies
Strong sourcing, vendor management, and delivery coordination capability in the NCR market.
Excellent field sales and client presentation skills.
Proven B2B selling, negotiation, and contract management skills.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales forecasting and inventory planning.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Deep passion for sustainability, artisan empowerment, and ethical sourcing.
