Company: Wastely Aqua Location: Mumbai Experience: 0-2 Years Job Summary The Entry Level Technical Sales Engineer acts as a crucial link between the sales team and the technical/engineering team. This role is responsible for understanding customer needs for water and wastewater treatment, presenting technical solutions, and supporting the sales process from lead generation through contract finalization. The ideal candidate has a foundational knowledge of water treatment technologies and a strong drive for sales and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities Technical Sales Support: Customer Needs Assessment: Work with the Senior Sales team to understand and analyze customer site-specific water/wastewater challenges and requirements. Solution Presentation: Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, explaining how Wastely Aqua's solutions (e.g., Sewage Treatment Plants, RO Systems, ETPs, ZLD) meet their specific needs. Proposal Development: Assist in the creation of techno-commercial offers, including calculating client quotations, preparing detailed product specifications, and drafting project scope documents. Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during the pre-sales process and liaise with the in-house engineering, design, and product teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically viable and accurately meet customer specifications. Market & Business Development: Market Research: Conduct basic market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in the water and wastewater treatment industry. Lead Generation Support: Support the identification and qualification of new sales leads within the designated territory or market segment. Sales Targets: Work toward achieving assigned entry-level sales support and revenue targets. Customer Relationship & Post-Sales: Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional pre-sales and initial post-sales technical support. Contract Negotiation: Assist in explaining and negotiating technical and commercial terms of contracts to ensure alignment between client and company needs. Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback on products and services for the continuous improvement of the company's offerings. Qualifications and Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical,) or a related field (e.g., Environmental Science with a strong technical focus). Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a technical or sales-related role. Prior internships or projects in the water treatment industry are a plus. Technical Skills: Foundational understanding of basic water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies (e.g., Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, Biological Treatment). Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. General Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and a proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to travel frequently (potentially within a defined territory) to meet with clients.
