The Junior Chef will assist in all aspects of kitchen operations, helping to prepare delicious and consistently high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation:

  • Perform food preparation tasks.

  • Assist in preparing, plating/packing dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.

  • Kitchen Operations:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station, equipment, and kitchen area.

  • Monitor and manage inventory of ingredients.

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Communicate effectively regarding dish availability and timing.

  • Learning and Development:

  • Actively seek opportunities to learn new cooking techniques and recipes.

  • Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in hotel management
  • Experience: Previous experience (1-3 years) in a professional kitchen environment is a plus

  • Skills & Attributes:

  • A genuine passion for cooking and the culinary arts.

  • Basic knife skills and understanding of fundamental cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
