 Head Engineering & New Product Development

RESPONSIBILITY  To evaluate feasibility of Engineering drawings  To do costing of New Parts  To prepare Project Plan for Sample Development & Pilot lot.  To lead APQP team and develop New Parts as per target dates and get the same approved from Customer.  To submit PPAP Documents Level-I, II & III.  To prepare drawings, design & issue Process documents  To participate & facilitate Fixture Design  To manage ECN Process  To design Packaging Standards  To improve designs of existing products.  To drive Value Engineering to optimize the Material & Labour cost.  To prepare FMEA/Control Plan as per Customer requirements.  To ensure IATF Certification Design Requirements.  To interact with Customer  To identify & develop New Business

DELIVERABLES  %age New Parts Developed within Lead Time  New Part Development Revenue  New Business Revenue  Cost Savings per year through Value Engineering  No of Process full proofing
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE  An Engineering Graduate from reputed Institute preferred a Mechanical Engineer with 7-10 Yrs of Experience in Mid/large organization  Must be Engineering & NPD head min for 2-3 Yrs  Have Knowledge of Engineering Drawings, Manufacturing Standards- Tolerances etc  Have Knowledge of various RM's & alternates.  Have Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes CNC, VMC, Grinding, Sheet Metal Component- Press, Hardening, Plaiting, Welding, etc.  Have Knowledge of Project Management.  Have knowledge of Costing Parameters.
