About the Team
The
Ninjamandi team
is a large and diverse group within Ninjacart, driving innovation in fruits and vegetables trade in Indian wholesale markets. As a key growth engine for Ninjacart, the team blends business, execution, category, product, and analytics expertise to solve complex challenges with speed and creativity. The Ninjamandi team handles trading in imported fruits, domestic fruits, non-perishables & Dry fruits categories.
Within this, the Central strategy team plays a critical role in making the right judgement on when to buy, where to buy and how much to buy on a daily basis. The Central strategy team gathers signals from global and domestic markets to drive decisions, aligning supply, Shape demand, and deliver financial goals. Key capabilities include building intelligence machinery, efficient planning, and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Setup data Intelligence sources - both domestic and global sources to gather timely and reliable data
- Gather and analyze data to drive actionable insights & Build a decision-making frameworks for purchase calls
- Drive the decision on pre-booking and storage calls for each category
- Lead supply and demand planning across business units
- Support organization-wide planning, performance reviews, and target setting
- Review Trades and past performance and bring out actionable insights and improve the decision frameworks continuously
- Monitor procurement practices, risks, and working capital
- Track overall P&L impact, risks, and capital requirements
- Lead seasonal reviews and recommend improvements
- Drive new initiatives (new models, products, or supply routes)

- Experience: 10–15 years in Supply & Sourcing Planning, strategy and execution roles
- Preferred Background:
- Worked in agri commodities industries / Food procession / FMCG industries on supply side
- Has worked on import and export across countries
- Owned PnL
- Ability to deep dive into large data sets, analyze, interpret and make quick decisions resulting in impactful business goals
- Work with stakeholders and influence to drive decisions and alignments
