Head of Operations and Strategy – Business Growth & Operations Excellence

Role Overview:

We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Head of Operations and Strategy to lead our business growth and operational excellence initiatives. This role will be pivotal in scaling our platform, optimizing operations, improving customer experience, and identifying new growth avenues. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of strategic vision, operational discipline, and leadership acumen within a B2B or e-commerce context.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement growth and operational strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Identify new B2B market opportunities and lead expansion plans across geographies and verticals.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on long-term strategic roadmaps and KPIs.
  • Translate business objectives into product strategy and operational priorities.

2. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations including supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, and partner onboarding.
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and cost-efficiency using technology-led solutions.
  • Ensure compliance, service-level consistency, and smooth internal workflows.

3. Customer Experience & Success

  • Enhance the end-to-end customer journey across digital and offline touchpoints.
  • Leverage customer feedback and data insights to drive product enhancements and service improvements.
  • Implement mechanisms to monitor customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention.

4. Growth, Revenue & Product Enablement

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to execute go-to-market strategies that drive revenue.
  • Support product roadmap prioritization by providing market insights and operational feasibility.
  • Launch new product lines, services, and campaigns tailored to market needs and customer segments.
  • Enable alignment between product development and business operations for scalable growth.

5. Cross-functional Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead high-performing teams across operations, strategy, and product collaboration functions.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.

6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy

  • Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Use insights to influence product strategy and refine operational execution in a dynamic B2B environment.

7. Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Prepare and manage operational budgets with a focus on efficiency and ROI.
  • Track performance metrics and lead corrective actions as needed.

8. Innovation, Product Thinking & Sustainability

  • Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and business models.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to co-design scalable tech-enabled solutions.
  • Champion sustainability and ethical practices within the operational value chain.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related fields.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, and product-oriented roles, ideally within B2B e-commerce, SaaS, logistics, or marketplace platforms.
  • Proven success in driving scalable growth strategies and managing complex operational networks.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, or Tech teams on customer-centric solutions.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and execution skills.
  • Familiarity with data tools, ERP systems, product lifecycle management, and automation platforms is a plus.
