Role summary

The Operations Head will be responsible for planning, leading, and controlling the day-to-day operations of UES Abroad's Bangalore office, with a focus on service quality, process efficiency, and cross-functional coordination. The role will work closely with senior management to translate business objectives into robust operational plans and performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end operations across counseling, admissions, and support functions to ensure timely and consistent service delivery.

  • Design, implement, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

  • Define and monitor KPIs for productivity, turnaround time, and client satisfaction, and drive corrective actions where required.

  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align operational capacity with business targets.

  • Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and vendor management for operational activities.

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, data protection norms, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare periodic operational dashboards and reports for the leadership team, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations team through structured performance management and training.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in education services, consulting, or other process-driven service industries.

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics for decision-making and performance improvement.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM or student management systems.
