Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Lead Generation
- Identify potential clients, projects, and tenders in the transmission line sector.
- Monitor Government, PSU, and private sector announcements and procurement portals (GeM, CPPP, state tenders).
- Track upcoming projects from PGCIL, state transmission utilities (STUs), private EPC players, and international agencies.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers in government bodies, PSUs, EPC companies, and private developers.
- Arrange client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.
- Handle client inquiries, proposal submissions, and follow-ups.
Tendering & Proposal Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering and estimation teams to prepare technocommercial proposals, RFP responses, and EOIs.
- Ensure timely and compliant bid submissions.
- Negotiate contracts in line with company business goals.
Business Strategy & Growth
- Support in developing sales strategies, pricing models, and market plans.
- Analyse competitor activities and suggest differentiation strategies.
- Identify opportunities in related infrastructure consultancy areas.
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain detailed records of leads, opportunities, and sales pipeline.
- Provide management with regular reports on business development activities and achievements.
Preferred candidate profile
Education:
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Civil Engineering (preferred)
- MBA in Marketing / Business Development (desirable)
Experience:
- 2-5 years in business development in Power Transmission, EPC, or Engineering Consultancy.
- Prior interaction with PGCIL, STUs, PSUs, major EPC contractors is a strong plus.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Understanding of transmission line design, survey & construction processes.
- Familiarity with CPPP, GeM, etender portals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation & presentation skills.
- MS Office proficiency.
