Asset Management India Client & Product teams encompass a wide range of functions that support every stage of a client's journey. From Sales & Marketing to Sales support, Product Strategy, Market Insight, Data Management & Governance, Data Delivery & Solutions, and Business Intelligence & Analytics, this team is integral to our operations. We are currently seeking talent for the Client Data Management & Governance and Digital Product Experiences team in India, which is a vital component of the Marketing group within Asset and Wealth Management India Client and Product. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team that promotes client engagement and product innovation.
As the Executive Director within the Client Data Management & Governance and Digital Product Experiences team, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for both data management and digital product innovation. You will oversee data governance, quality controls, and CRM support, while also supporting the development and delivery of digital platforms and solutions (like web, email, events, etc.). You will also help distill insights from data across diverse user, business, and industry sources for product optimization and performance. Utilize data insights to inform product decisions and enhance user experience.
Job responsibilities:
- Partner to define and execute the vision and roadmap for data and digital products, leveraging market trends and best practices.
- Oversee end – end product development in an agile environment including requirements gathering, user story creation, and collaboration with technology teams. Prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and develop financial business cases to support technology and marketing investments.
- Lead key projects to modernize data and digital platforms, optimize business processes, and manage resources for timely, high-quality delivery and effective risk management. Build and maintain strong partnerships with business, technology, and design teams to promote adoption and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Oversee all aspects of client data management, including trade transparency, company/contact/marketing data, and global data migration.
- Support CRM and Funds Data Warehouse platforms, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with standards.
- Design and implement robust data governance frameworks, including data definitions, data ownership, and "golden sources."
- Enforce policies for data acquisition, maintenance, and modification across internal and external sources
- Promote continuous improvements in data quality analysis, auditing, cleansing, and escalation.
- Champion customer-centric product development by proactively understanding evolving business needs and industry trends.
- Ensure thorough documentation of product features and development processes, and effectively align cross-product dependencies with firm's strategic objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Proven experience in Asset & Wealth Management, Banking, or Financial Services, with strong knowledge of sales processes, product development, and client service solutions.
- Experience in marketing and distribution services is required.
- Strong academic background with established analytical, programming, and technical skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis tools (Alteryx, Tableau, QlikSense, Business Objects).
- Experience with relational database design, data modeling, and data architecture.
- Familiarity with marketing/distribution platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Workfront, and Stova.
- Deep expertise in data management, including data architecture, engineering, modeling, quality, and security.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Proven experience in building, motivating, and leading dynamic, high-performing teams across global, cross-functional environments. Demonstrates a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of new AI trends; certifications in CRM, Data Management, Analytics, or Data Warehouse domains are preferred.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present complex ideas, product vision, and business cases to senior stakeholders. Skilled in storytelling, user story writing, and influencing within a global matrix organization.
- Committed to delivering high-quality, client-centric outcomes. Builds strong relationships with business partners, technology teams, and stakeholders across Asset & Wealth Management functions.
- Applies structured thinking, analytical rigor, and creativity to proactively solve issues, develop new ideas, and add value. High data literacy and strong data governance skills, with attention to detail and the ability to communicate insights for decision-making.
- Demonstrates expertise in agile frameworks, adapts to changing priorities, and drives agile practices within the team. Manages multiple priorities and workflows efficiently, quickly learning new business areas and applications.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and reasoning skills, adhering to best practices in meeting management and business operations.
