Job Summary:

As a Business Analyst Database Developer at Biltmore Technology Solutions, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team comprising of business operations professionals, project managers and development teams to deliver cutting-edge financial technology solutions to banks, broker-dealers, and futures clearing merchants. The role requires you to analyse business processes, conduct complex data analytics on financial data sets, and develop technical solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of capital markets' processes. This role demands proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages, an good understanding of the Capital Markets concepts, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse business processes and financial/trading data.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical designs.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for financial data processing and reporting.
  • Design, implement, and optimize complex database solutions using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
  • Contribute to the development of real-time analytics tools and dashboards.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training for deployed solutions.
  • Create detailed documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Provide project management support.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong experience in SQL, scripting languages, and software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is a plus.
  • Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Domain Knowledge:

  • 4-7 years' work experience in investment banking / capital markets industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycles, and reconciliation processes is highly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
