Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated
Business Development Representative (BDR)
to join our team in
Chennai
. The BDR will focus on generating qualified leads, building client relationships, and supporting the sales pipeline by creating new business opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, target-driven, and passionate about sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and target new business opportunities in Chennai and nearby regions.
  • Generate leads through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and field networking.
  • Qualify prospects by assessing requirements, decision-making authority, budget, and timelines.
  • Schedule meetings/demos for the senior sales team and ensure seamless handover.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Follow up on inbound leads and marketing campaigns.
  • Update and maintain accurate records in CRM tools.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly/quarterly lead generation and pipeline targets.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitors, and industry developments relevant to Chennai's market.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills in
    English, Tamil, and Hindi (preferred)
    .
  • Ability to confidently engage clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Research and analytical skills to identify business opportunities in the local market.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and willing to travel locally within and around Chennai.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in business development / inside sales / client acquisition.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Number of qualified leads generated from Chennai region.
  • Number of meetings/demos scheduled for sales closure.
  • Lead-to-opportunity conversion ratio.
  • Contribution to revenue pipeline from Chennai operations.
