**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled **Sous Chef** to join our culinary team. As the right hand to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in kitchen operations, menu development, staff training, and ensuring our dishes meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and professionalism.
- Execute and oversee food preparation and cooking with precision and creativity.
- Maintain quality control over stock, preparation, and presentation.
- Collaborate on new menu items and seasonal specials aligned with Food Whisperer’s philosophy.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, health, and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to reduce waste and optimize cost.
- Step in and lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
**Qualifications**
- 5-10 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or sous chef role.
- Formal culinary training or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Calm under pressure with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
- A creative flair and a palate that aligns with Food Whisperer’s culinary ethos.
