The Commis I - Multicuisine is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes across various cuisines (e.g., Indian, Continental, Chinese, etc.) as per restaurant & Hotel standards. The role supports the kitchen team in maintaining hygiene, quality, and consistency in all food preparations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes from multiple cuisines as per standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Assist in mise en place and daily food preparation tasks under the direction of senior chefs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen at all times.
- Ensure food is prepared efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing productivity.
- Follow kitchen procedures and cooking standards for taste, consistency, and appearance.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak service hours.
- Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards).
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies appropriately.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and cuisine styles.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multicuisine setup.
- Good knowledge of food production techniques across various cuisines.
- Familiar with food safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
