The ideal candidate for the role of a Zonal Manager will be an enterprising individual with a proven track record of delivering business results and managing teams, with a strong desire for driving exponential revenue growth. The individual will · Be responsible for managing and growing the overall P&L of their stores · Grow and manage a portfolio of 50 to 100 stores across a geographical region o Set targets for the AOMs and ensure appropriate cascading across all the stores in the Zone o Identify areas for additional market penetration · Monitor stores’ growth through weekly review meetings with the AOMs o Adhere to review guidelines and parameters defined by the head office and the BU Head o Identify and address issues with under-performing stores · Manage and expand existing stores’ business as well as drive revenue growth in new stores o Ensure strong store openings o Understand and take actions on the store audits, market data and performance reports o Help develop and ensure strong execution of BTL marketing strategies o Ensure timely and adequate store staffing as per the manpower plan, and keep the attrition levels in control § Ensure a robust talent pipeline for all the stores in the Zone · Build and deliver the extraordinary shopping experience that delights our customers, resulting in industry leading NPS o Drive effectiveness and productivity of the teams by supporting and ensuring the highest quality of hiring, training and retail operations o Set and deliver the highest standards of store upkeep and staff grooming o Create a high energy work environment across all stores in the Zone o Develop deep customer understanding through store visits, customer interactions, and analysis of customer feedback and other reports § Conduct regular store visits to preempt customers’ issues and concerns · Control and improve the cost structure of the Zone o Maintain costs in line with the budget (in both, absolute and percentage terms) o Manage the manpower cost as per the budget o Minimize/eliminate shrinkage · Build on the startup culture with a 10 X growth spirit (doing things the “Lenskart Way”) · Compliance to the code of conduct and POSH guidelines in letter and spirit · Be responsible for effective administration and control of the Zone operations · Ensure complete legal and process compliance across store functions · Build local networks with governing bodies, administrators and community EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS · At least 8-10 years of retail and general management experience (including international), spanning operations and business strategy · Experience of managing a P&L in a fast growth environment · Expertise or knowledge of Omni-channel sales strategies and processes · Preferably holding an MBA degree from a reputed institute PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES · Strong business acumen with a passion for results: demonstrating high degree of commitment · Strong operational expertise- with deep understanding of the geography · High process orientation with extensive experience in process management · Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capability · Strong operational expertise · Demonstrating Collaborative Ownership - Ability to discuss with courage, clarify, and agree on expectations of each other · Ability to challenge the status quo and set high performance standards · Ability to work in an extremely agile, unstructured and evolving environment DESIRED VALUES · Having a Customer and Team Obsession - Taking decisions and actions with a customer first approach · Exhibiting high Start-up Energy - Learning at a rapid pace and setting new standards for oneself and others · Having the mindset to Fail Harder - Taking accountability of failures and learnings Having a 10 X Thinking - “Think Big-Talk Big-Act Big”
