We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in Ahmedabad / Vadodara, India.

Job Description:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating revenue and managing university/HEI accounts in the assigned territory of Gujarat. You will develop and execute sales plans in alignment with the company's goals, manage budgets and collections, and ensure the effective execution of promotions and marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Revenue generation and cost management for the ELT vertical in the assigned territory
  • Managing and retaining university/HEI accounts and driving incremental sales revenue
  • Developing the assigned market with public and private universities and higher education institutions
  • Meeting desired GM by controlling and monitoring discounts
  • Creation and tracking of sales and collections: budget and achievement (variance if any)
  • Execution of sales plan in alignment with the company and vertical's objectives
  • Supporting the sales function effectively and ensuring sales capability building for the vertical
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in sales/business management or related field preferred
  • Years of experience with sound knowledge of higher education sector
  • Sales management experience in higher education business
  • Experience in managing annual sales budgets and collections of crores or more an added advantage
  • Proven track record of fuelling business growth
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization an advantage
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Sound knowledge/experience on managing large size distributors
  • Planning, strategic initiatives, and strong execution skills
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Team/stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to inspire collaboration
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across the end-to-end value chain
  • Strategic thinker who can envision new solutions, address work challenges, and resolve conflicts
  • Sound business acumen and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to convey strategy, knowledge, and requirements

The estimated salary for this position is ₹ 12-15 lakhs per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
