Job Title: Rural Banking Relationship Development Manager
Business: Retail Banking - Rural
Function/ Department: Rural Sales
Job Purpose:
The role entails deepening relationships with rural banking customers and ensuring best-in-class service. The role bearer is responsible for supporting the Relationship Manager in identifying business owners/entrepreneurs and assessing their business loan needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Map household needs in villages and areas allocated
Conduct end-user checks post loan disbursal
Assess and evaluate client needs and generate new revenue sources through cross-selling opportunities
Contribute to penetration of liabilities business in rural markets through lead generation and account opening
Achieve individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and relationship retention
Monitor accurate documentation of loans and savings accounts
Coordinate with operations officers for timely and accurate data entry
Secondary Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with bank requirements
Conduct field audits and customer verifications
Monitor market intelligence and benchmark best practices in competitor banks
Implement process changes to improve service efficiency and quality
Support implementation of livelihood advancement and community development initiatives
