Platform Executive Role

Digital Transformation in Wealth Management

This executive role is responsible for spearheading the digital transformation of wealth management across all client segments.

  • Wealth Digital Journeys:
    • Manage end-to-end digital wealth journeys, including onboarding, goal planning, investment execution, advisory, and reporting.
    • Ensure seamless experiences across mobile, web, and assisted channels.
    • Benchmark journeys against industry leaders to set best-in-class standards.
    • Deliver strategic projects to enhance client journeys and customer experience.
  • Wealth Platform Services:
    • Align platform direction with future state requirements.
    • Drive technology modernization: cloud adoption, microservices, APIs, open banking integration.
    • Establish partnerships to enrich the platform ecosystem.
    • Ensure platforms deliver resilience, security, and scalability.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Wealth Operations Oversight:
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and partner with legal and compliance teams.
    • Drive automation and digitization of operational processes.
    • Provide oversight of operations including onboarding, transaction execution, reconciliations, and client servicing.
  • Governance, Risk & Resilience:
    • Manage risk, audit, ISR, and business continuity planning.
    • Oversee disaster recovery for wealth systems.
  • Market Activation & Platform Commercialization:
    • Define market activation strategies for wealth platforms.
    • Partner with frontline, marketing, and distribution leadership.
    • Lead commercialization of wealth platforms.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as a bridge across business, technology, operations, compliance, and risk.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships - partners, vendors - ensuring strategic alignment.
    • Engage with global stakeholders to secure funding and alignment.

Requirements: At least 10-12 years of relevant experience, MBA from a reputable institution, Post Graduate Degree (preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Finance), professional qualifications like CA, strong analytical skills, demonstration of behaviours consistent with HSBC Values, product management skills, financial planning, communication, industry knowledge, sales techniques, excellent interpersonal skills, presentation, data management, and planning skills.
