We are an artisanal patisserie café nestled in the vibrant suburb of HSR Layout, Bangalore, seeking a passionate and motivated pastry chef to join our small but dynamic kitchen team.
Position Overview
As a Pastry Chef Assistant, you will work closely with our Pastry Chef to assist in the preparation and creation of a diverse array of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role is perfect for individuals with a foundational understanding of pastry techniques who are eager to learn and thrive in a supportive, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, cakes, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Support the Pastry Chef in managing inventory, including the ordering and proper storage of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas, utensils, and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Adhere to food safety practices, including the proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and tools.
Contribute ideas and feedback to the development of new recipes and menu items.
Adapt to changing priorities and special requests with a positive and flexible attitude.
Working Hours
This is a full-time, permanent position with fixed shift timings and one day off each week.

Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in pastry or Bachelor of Hotel Management with a focus on pastry.
Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients.
Minimum of one year of work experience in a commercial bakery kitchen (experience in a home bakery will not be considered).
