Job Title: Global Sales Strategy Executive
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Sales Strategy Executive to lead our International Sales & Business Development – Infrastructure (Lighting, Transportation, Utility) sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Lead the development and execution of our international business development and sales strategy to achieve set revenue targets and sales margins.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of professionals, providing guidance and strategic direction to drive sales growth and success.
- New Lead Generation: Create new leads and opportunities at prospects and existing customers, leveraging your extensive industry knowledge and network.
- Business Opportunity Assessment: Lead front-end assessment of business opportunities focused on selling Lighting, Transportation, and Utility Poles, identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Sales Pipeline Development: Develop and manage the sales pipeline, turning it into business for Valmont Industries, Inc.
- RFP Analysis and Proposal Development: Conduct RFP analysis, develop strategies for proposal development, and negotiate with clients to secure contracts.
- Account Strategy: Develop account strategies to achieve sales goals within the overall Sales/BDM team, taking a collaborative sales approach with customers to determine best solutions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Own the overall customer relationship between Valmont and assigned customers, including business reviews at all levels both within Valmont and with the customer to achieve long-term partnerships.
- Deal Leadership: Accountable for deal leadership, collaborating cross-functionally with colleagues to drive the contract negotiation process and successfully close sales transactions.
- Customer Retention and Growth: Maximize customer relationships to ensure future sales and optimize new business opportunities, actively pursuing recapture opportunities for lost accounts.
- Communication and Issue Resolution: Maintain regular, proactive communications with customers and Valmont management via face-to-face meetings, telephone, and email, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
- Contract Expertise: Provide contract expertise and assist with answering contractual questions from customers on sales, warranty, and service agreements.
- Broad Market Understanding: Understand broader market trends, proactively driving solutions to mitigate risks and support customer needs.
- Marketing Participation: Strong participation in marketing activities and product marketing development to stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or Marketing; MBA preferred.
Experience: 15-20 years of experience in Sales/Business Development.
Knowledge: Middles East and Africa Market, Market Potentials, Technical sales, commercial customer communications, contract negotiation.
Skills: Negotiations, Analytical.
Abilities: Ability to perform under high pressure and dynamic work environment managing multiple deliverables.
Compensation: The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
