Global Infrastructure Development Executive
Description:
This role will be responsible for implementing the company's global infrastructure sales strategy. The successful candidate will work to achieve set revenue targets and sales margins by developing and executing a business development and sales plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute international business development and sales strategies to drive growth and revenue.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance and strategic direction to achieve sales goals.
- Create new leads and opportunities at prospects and existing customers in the infrastructure sector.
- Assess business opportunities and develop proposals to sell infrastructure solutions, such as lighting, transportation, and utility poles.
- Develop the sales pipeline and convert it into business for the company.
- Analyze RFPs, develop proposal strategies, and negotiate contracts to secure deals.
- Develop account strategies to achieve sales goals within the overall sales/BDM team.
- Take a collaborative approach with customers to determine best solutions and build long-term partnerships.
- Own the customer relationship between the company and assigned customers, including regular business reviews and communication.
- Lead deal negotiations and collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues to drive contract negotiation processes and close sales transactions.
- Maximize customer relationships to ensure future sales and identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers and Valmont management through regular face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and emails.
- Review and track complex issues from customers and provide contract expertise to answer questions on sales, warranty, and service agreements.
- Stay up-to-date with broader market trends and proactively drive solutions to mitigate risks and support customer needs.
- Participate in marketing activities and product marketing development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or Marketing (MBA preferred).
- 15-20 years of experience in Sales/Business Development.
- In-depth knowledge of the Middle East and Africa market, market potential, technical sales, commercial customer communications, and contract negotiation.
- Negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform under high pressure and dynamic work environments managing multiple deliverables.
Estimated Salary Range:
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
