Job Description

Title: Customer Service Manager

Location: India

As a Customer Service Manager at Mouser Electronics, you will be responsible for managing and developing daily customer service operations and staff to ensure service excellence and maximize new business opportunities.

Accountabilities & Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers, resolving customer issues and identifying service trends.
  • Understand and work with multiple currencies, profit margins, markups, and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Expand product knowledge and stay current with industry trends, practices, and news.
  • Detailed and thorough work habits with multi-tasking ability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and teaching skills.
  • Accurate and timely reporting.
  • Support the company's total quality process.
  • Flexible to meet changing business needs and willing to take on new responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
  • Available for travel, including internationally, with a valid passport and required documents.
  • Develop and maintain a productive work team by hiring, training, and managing performance.
  • Manage teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and Mouser policies.
  • Direct the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations for employees regarding performance and career development.
  • Manage daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
  • Work with minimal supervision and make independent judgments.
  • Flexible to meet changing business needs and willing to take on new responsibilities.
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business contacts.
  • Extremely confidential and trustworthy.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, experience, and understanding of critical job functions and people management.
  • Assist management with developing results-oriented strategies.

Skills & Certifications

  • Bilingual - fluent verbal and written in local language and English, with additional languages required.
  • Proficient typing and math skills, including currency conversions and profit margins.
  • Proficient with writing/creating reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Professional writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining productive work teams and providing ongoing performance management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and teaching skills.
  • PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software.
  • Internet savvy and familiarity with E-Commerce.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field or minimum of 3 years prior work experience relevant to the team you will manage.
  • Internal candidates: Minimum 2 years as a highly performing Mouser Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • External candidates: Minimum 3 years as a supervisor or higher-level management position.
