Application Support Specialist for Enterprise Applications

At EMCUSO, we are seeking a seasoned Application Support Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad, India. This is a full-time position with a Work from Office mode.
Job Overview
We require an experienced professional with 5+ years of expertise in application support to provide technical assistance and ensure the seamless operation of enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a deep understanding of application environments, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Maintenance and Support: Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise applications to ensure high availability and performance. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related incidents and issues. Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
- Incident and Problem Management: Respond promptly to application incidents and service requests in line with SLAs. Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams while maintaining ownership of communication. Document incidents, solutions, and updates in the ticketing system.
- Environment Management: Manage application environments, including production, testing, and staging. Deploy updates, patches, and enhancements to applications as needed. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployments.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Use monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, or New Relic) to track application performance. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize resource usage. Proactively identify areas for improvement to enhance user experience.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of issues. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users. Communicate complex technical issues in a user-friendly manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of application processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Generate regular reports on application performance, incidents, and resolutions. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in application support or a similar role. Proven experience supporting enterprise-level applications.
- Technical Skills:- Proficiency in application monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, or Nagios).- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and databases (SQL, Oracle).- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation.- Experience with ITIL processes for incident and problem management.- Knowledge of APIs, web services, and middleware (e.g., REST, SOAP).
- Soft Skills:- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
