The role of Deputy General Manager Human Resources is crucial for spearheading the HR function. This position provides strategic HR business partnership to the site leadership team, focusing on developing and implementing human resources strategies that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Partner: Plan, implement, and evaluate employee relations and human resource programs to ensure optimal people strategy alignment with business needs.
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Source and hire talented workforce to ensure business continuity. Develop a best-in-class onboarding experience for new joiners.
- HR Manpower Planning and Budgeting: Assist in budgeting process of all HR items, including manpower costs and operational expenses. Periodically review and monitor actual spend against approved budgets to ensure optimal utilization of manpower budgets.
- Performance Management: Drive continual performance management and annual compensation reviews for the site. Train line managers on goal setting and sharing performance feedback.
- Talent Management: Implement periodic talent management reviews and develop retention plans for critical roles. Create and implement succession plans for key positions.
- Learning & Development: Promote a culture of learning and high performance. Identify training needs, prepare training calendars, and evaluate training efficacy.
- HR Compliance & Statutory Obligations: Ensure compliance with labor laws, maintain records, and represent the organization at various associations related to human resources. Liaison with statutory bodies and government agencies to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Labour Management: Maintain harmonious and productive industrial relations environments. Track productivity and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure statutory compliance by manpower vendors.
- Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Implement initiatives to impact key drivers of employee engagement. Lead wellbeing initiatives at the site to achieve holistic wellbeing for employees.
- HR Operations: Supervise and review all HR operations related to employee lifecycles to streamline and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
MBA in Human Resource Management or Master's degree in Human Resource Management
At least 15 years' experience handling HR functions, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
Desirable Skills:

- Excellent management skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
