Associate Vice President – Business Development

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Associate Vice President (AVP) – Business Development to lead our strategic corporate training partnerships with global enterprises and Fortune 500 companies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnerships & Enterprise Growth:
    • Drive revenue growth by building large-scale corporate training partnerships with MNCs and Fortune 500 clients.
    • Oversee the profitability of the corporate training business vertical.
    • Develop multi-year enterprise contracts, positioning us as the partner of choice for workforce upskilling.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of business development managers to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
    • Establish performance frameworks, incentive structures, and sales playbooks for consistent deal closures.
    • Foster a consultative selling culture across the team.
  • CXO & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and sustain relationships with senior decision-makers (CHROs, CLOs, L&D heads, and CXOs).
    • Represent the organization in executive boardroom presentations, global forums, and high-level discussions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprises on learning, development, and workforce transformation strategies.
  • Market Expansion & Strategic Alliances:
    • Identify new business opportunities in untapped markets and industries.
    • Forge alliances with industry bodies, chambers of commerce, and professional associations.
    • Partner with EdTech firms, consulting companies, and ecosystem players for joint initiatives.
  • Insights, Innovation & Competitive Intelligence:
    • Track global corporate training trends, digital learning adoption, and workforce transformation strategies.
    • Drive innovation in corporate training offerings, aligning with market needs in AI, data, digital transformation, leadership, and emerging technologies.
    • Present regular business insights and growth strategies to the leadership team.

Requirements:
  • 8–12 years of proven experience in enterprise B2B sales, corporate training partnerships, or EdTech/consulting business development.
  • Demonstrated success in closing multi-crore enterprise training contracts with MNCs.
  • Strong network in HR, L&D, and business leadership circles.
  • Prior experience with strategic account management and ownership.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and advanced MS Office Suite.

Preferred Experience:
  • Background in EdTech, corporate training firms, professional services, or B2B SaaS.
  • Exposure to international enterprise sales and global training markets.
  • Understanding of L&D, upskilling, reskilling, and future of work trends.
