Job Title: Chief Partnership Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and nurturing profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients.

This role serves as a bridge between the bank's offerings and client needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success.

  • Clients' financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance are identified through management of client relationships. Analysis of data from various sources, including investment portfolios and cash flow, helps to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement, and additional services to support client needs.
  • Understanding industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive environments is crucial for research and informing strategic recommendations.
  • Customised solutions are designed to address specific client needs and objectives by incorporating a range of products and services from the bank's portfolio.
  • The value proposition of proposed solutions is communicated, along with justification of recommendations and negotiation of terms that benefit both the client and the bank.
  • Guidance is provided to clients on their financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management, and wealth management strategies support, and updates on market trends to ensure a positive and continuous relationship.
  • Financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships are assessed, and measures are implemented to minimise potential losses.
  • All client interactions, transactions, and agreements are documented to ensure transparency and auditability, and findings are effectively communicated to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function.
  • Manage, coordinate, and enable resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
  • Breaches of policies/procedures are escalated appropriately.
  • Foster compliance and ensure regulations are observed, with relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
  • Maintain focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to monitor and influence on behalf of the bank when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division/Group to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Maintain broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline, alongside up-to-date relevant sector/functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments/initiatives.
  • Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area.
  • Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
  • Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/business divisions.
  • Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.
